Tony Forrester

History:
Tony has been playing professionally for nearly 30 years. He is the author of several books and has been bridge columnist of The Daily and Sunday Telegraph for many years, but has recently passed on the weekday column to Tom Townsend.
Achievements:
Tony has been a regular member of the English/British Open Team for many years. He was runner-up in the European Championships in 1987, going on to reach the final of the Bermuda Bowl in the same year. In 1991, in partnership with Andrew Robson, Tony and the British team won the European Championships, and In home internationals Tony is the most capped player. He has also twice won the prestigious Reisinger tournament in the United States, in 1998 and 1999. Tony has also recently broken the record for the highest number of Gold Cup wins, and has also won most other national competition several times.
